Special dispersant for Pigments  TAS-A

Specifications:

           Appearance: white or slightly yellow powder, Melting temperature: 67⁰C

           Colour ≤5.0(Gardner)              Flash Point ≥275 ⁰C  

            Acid content ≤10.0 KOH mg/g  

           Heat Weight Loss ≤1.8wt.%(250⁰C), ≤4.8wt.%(300⁰C)

Characterizations:

   The molecule structure of TAS-A is composed of hydrophilic polar group (Acylamino-CONH-, Ester-COO-) and lipophilic non-polar group (aliphatic R). In the process of the coloring polymeric materials, this product can avoid effectively the flocculation of pigments, and increase their dispersion in polymeric materials, which gives rise to the enhancement of brilliance of the resulting products and reducing of the amount of pigments by 5~10% in the resulting product. Thereby, the lower cost of coloring products can be obtained. TAS-A can be insoluble in ethanol, acetone, carbon tetrachloride solvents at room temperature, but soluble in hot halogenated hydrocarbons, and resist to acid and basic matters, and it is nontoxic.

Applications:

  TAS-A is mainly used in the coloring polymeric materials. Recommendating usage of TAS-A with pigments as follows:

            Phthalocyanine Blue (BGS): 8~10wt.%

            Iron Blue 103: 8~10wt.%

            Phthalocyanine Green G: 8~10wt.%

            Everlasting Purple RL: 5~10wt.%

            Light Red BBM: 5~10wt.%

            Everlasting Red F3RK : 5 ~ 10wt.%

   Applicaion effects of TAS-A: (i)When 8~10wt.% of pigments are substituded the coloring PP, the color saturation of PP(C*) and hue angle(H*) have been improved to some extent, and the lightness of coloring PP(L*) is declined slightly; (ii)The application of TAS-A in the high concentration masterbatch of plastics and the general dyeing granulation, it can significantly improve throughput and the surface gloss of the resulting products.
